Evening demonstrations at the bakery

Students of pastry

This January and February we were thrilled to host pastry enthusiasts for an after hours demonstration at the bakery. It was Laurence, the founder of Pâtisserie Mon Amour who approached us with the idea. From our initial conversation, grew two wonderful evenings with live demonstrations by our very own Victoria Cafferty.

The first evening centered around the Mont Blanc. This was a fun one to celebrate the infamous French pastry with our very own spin on the proportions and design. Learning to make each layer of the dessert and even learn to pipe, our guests got the chance to jump up and pipe one of their own.

Our second evening was centered around the Macaron Ispahan. The guests learned tips for making macarons and saw how the beautiful Ispahan is assembled. Step by step, we watched as Victoria shared pointers and advice for every part of the recipe. This modern French classic was a delight to see come together and of course taste.

If you are curious about other classes in the city or online, we cannot recommend Pâtisserie Mon Amour enough. She brings an appreciation and her own pastry expertise to each class she hosts. You will no doubt have a delightful time diving into learning French pastry from her classes.
